FIRMA E PRIMA ATTUAZIONE DEL PROTOCOLLO D’INTESA TRA SAN LAZZARO ONLUS E ASSOCIAZIONE FRANCESCA MORVILLO

E’ stato firmato oggi 7 giugno 2025 ed immediatamente attuato il protocollo d’intesa tra la San Lazzaro onlus e l’Associazione rotariana Francesca Morvillo, alla quale sono state consegnata per la distribuzione ai senzatetto ed alle famiglie bisognose di Palermo 36 paia di scarpe nuove.

Erano presenti il presidente della San Lazzaro onlus, Giuseppe Canzone, il presidente dell’Associazione Francesca Morvillo, Giancarlo Grassi, ed il Luogotenente Generale del Gran Baliato di Sicilia. Pietro Luigi Matta.

L'associazione Morvillo Onlus, nata nel 1991 con il nome di "Progetto Artigianato", è stata dedicata, a seguito delle stragi del 1992, alla dottoressa Francesca Morvillo, giudice dei minori. Nel 2014 diventa associazione rotariana e dal 2015 gestisce il Servizio di Distribuzione vestiario per gli indigenti, presso una propria struttura, curando anche la distribuzione di pasti caldi su strada agli indigenti con un servizio docce attraverso un furgone itinerante.

SIGNING AND FIRST IMPLEMENTATION OF THE MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN SAN LAZZARO ONLUS AND FRANCESCA MORVILLO ASSOCIATION

A memorandum of understanding was signed today, June 7, 2025, and immediately implemented between San Lazzaro onlus and the Francesca Morvillo Rotary Association, to which 36 pairs of new shoes were delivered for distribution to the homeless and needy families in Palermo.

Present were San Lazzaro onlus President, Giuseppe Canzone, Francesca Morvillo Association President, Giancarlo Grassi, and Lieutenant General of the Grand Bailiwick of Sicily of the Order of St. Lazarus, Pietro Luigi Matta.

The Morvillo Onlus Association, established in 1991 under the name “Handicraft Project,” was dedicated in the wake of the 1992 massacres to Dr. Francesca Morvillo, a juvenile judge. In 2014 it became a Rotary association and since 2015 has been running the Clothing Distribution Service for the indigent at its own facility, also taking care of the distribution of hot meals on the road to the indigent with a shower service through a traveling van.
