CERIMONIA DI INVESTITURA 2025 PRESSO IL GRAN PRIORATO DI INGHILTERRA E GALLES

L'Investitura Nazionale di Primavera 2025 del Gran Priorato d'Inghilterra e Galles si è svolta a Shrewsbury e ha visto la partecipazione di circa 80 membri e ospiti, ospitati dalla Commandery of The Marches.

Il servizio di investitura si è tenuto alle 10.00 nella Chiesa Cattedrale di Nostra Signora Ausiliatrice e San Pietro di Alcantara, presieduto dal Molto Rev. Christopher Canon Mathews ChLJ, mentre la liturgia è stata guidata dal Vice Cappellano Generale, il Molto Rev. Dr Sebastian Jones Cong. Orat., SChLJ, OMLJ; il predicatore è stato il Dr. Michael Langrish, Vescovo emerito di Exeter. 

A presiedere la cerimonia di investitura è stato il Balì e Gran Priore ad interim, Chevalier Dr David Woolf KCLJ, OMLJ.

Il Balì ed il Gran Priore facente funzioni hanno annunciato l'importo davvero raccolto dall'appello per la Giornata Mondiale della Lebbra in memoria del defunto Gran Priore, Michael, 13° Marchese di Lothian, pari a 38.000 sterline.

INVESTITURE CEREMONY 2025 AT THE GRAND PRIORY OF ENGLAND AND WALES

The Spring 2025 National Investiture of the Grand Priory of England and Wales took place in Shrewsbury and was attended by some 80 members and guests, hosted by the Commandery of The Marches.

The investiture service was held at 10 a.m. in the Cathedral Church of Our Lady Help of Christians and St Peter of Alcantara, presided over by the Very Rev. Christopher Canon Mathews ChLJ, while the liturgy was led by the Deputy Chaplain General, the Very Rev. Dr Sebastian Jones Cong. Orat., SChLJ, OMLJ; the preacher was Dr Michael Langrish, Bishop Emeritus of Exeter. 

Presiding over the investiture ceremony was Bailiff and Acting Grand Prior, Chevalier Dr David Woolf KCLJ, OMLJ.

The Bailiff and Acting Grand Prior announced the actual amount raised by the World Leprosy Day Appeal in memory of the late Grand Prior, Michael, 13th Marquess of Lothian, which was £38,000.
