MESSAGGIO AGLI ACCADEMICI PER IL 2026 DEL RETTORE DELL’ACCADEMIA LAZZARITA SAN LUIGI IX RE DI FRANCIA

Cari Accademici,

ci affacciamo al nuovo anno 2026 con il cuore colmo di speranza e la mente rivolta ai valori che da sempre guidano il nostro sodalizio. Ispirandoci alla figura del nostro patrono, San Luigi IX, che seppe coniugare la fermezza del regnante con la profonda umiltà e l'amore per i poveri, siamo chiamati oggi a fare della Cultura e della Storia non solo oggetti di studio, ma strumenti vivi di pace.

La storia ci insegna il peso devastante dei conflitti, ma la cultura ci offre le chiavi per comprendere l'altro e superare l'odio. Che il 2026 sia l'anno in cui la gentilezza diventi il nostro linguaggio universale e la solidarietà il nostro agire quotidiano. L’amore per il prossimo non deve essere un concetto astratto, ma un impegno concreto volto a lenire le sofferenze di chi, ancora oggi, vive sotto l'incubo della guerra.

Il nostro auspicio più profondo è che le armi tacciano finalmente in ogni angolo del mondo. Preghiamo e operiamo affinché chi soffre possa ritrovare quella serenità e quella sicurezza, individuale e collettiva, che sono diritti inalienabili di ogni essere umano.

Che questo nuovo anno sia migliore sotto ogni aspetto, elevando lo spirito di ciascuno di noi verso orizzonti di autentica fratellanza.

Buon anno 2026 a tutti voi e alle vostre famiglie.

MESSAGE TO ACADEMICIANS FOR 2026 FROM THE RECTOR OF THE LAZZARITA ACADEMY SAINT LOUIS IX, KING OF FRANCE

Dear Academicians,

We approach the new year 2026 with hearts filled with hope and our minds fixed on the values that have always guided our association. Inspired by the figure of our patron, Saint Louis IX, who combined the steadfastness of a ruler with profound humility and love for the poor, we are called today to make Culture and History not just objects of study, but living instruments of peace.

History teaches us the devastating weight of conflict, but culture offers us the keys to understanding others and overcoming hatred. May 2026 be the year in which kindness becomes our universal language and solidarity in our daily actions. Love for one's neighbor must not be an abstract concept, but a concrete commitment aimed at alleviating the suffering of those who, even today, live under the nightmare of war.

Our deepest hope is that the weapons will finally fall silent in every corner of the world. Let us pray and work so that those who suffer may rediscover the serenity and security, both individual and collective, that are the inalienable rights of every human being.

May this new year be better in every way, elevating the spirit of each of us toward horizons of true brotherhood.
