MESSAGGIO DI PASQUA 2025 AI MEMBRI DELL’ORDINE DI SAN LAZZARO DI SUA GRAZIA L’ARCIVESCOVO IAN ERNEST, ECLJ ARCIVESCOVO E PRIMATE EMERITO DELLA PROVINCIA ANGLICANA DELL’OCEANO INDIANO

Cari Confratelli e consorelle dell’Ordine di San Lazzaro di Gerusalemme,

Preghiamo con il Salmo 118 v. 1-2,14-24.

“Loda il Signore perche è buono... Il Signore è la mia forza e il mio canto, è stato il mio salvatore... la mano destra del Signore ha fatto azioni potenti.”(v1,14,15b)

Siamo immensamente grati a Dio Padre per questo giorno incredibile in cui il mondo salta di gioia mentre torniamo alla vita nel Suo Figlio, Gesù Cristo, il Signore Risorto. Attraverso di Lui, siamo risuscitati dallo scandalo della morte nell'eternità dove prevalgono la bellezza, la misericordia e la bontà di Dio.

Questo salmo esalta l'assistenza di Dio mentre libera coloro che hanno assoluta fiducia nelle Sue promesse. Come possiamo dubitare della sua promessa che la puntura della morte sarà distrutta e che il Suo Spirito ci sosterrà con una gioia profonda? Non possiamo come il Figlio Risorto di Dio apre la porta alla bellezza di Dio che viene ad abitare in noi.

Innalziamo quindi i nostri Alleluia in questo meraviglioso giorno al nostro Dio amorevole e misericordioso che conquista l'oscurità del nostro mondo disumanizzato mentre ci conduce nel Suo Regno dove la Speranza, la Gioia e l'Amore fluttuano nell'aria.

EASTER MESSAGE 2025 TO THE MEMBERS OF THE ORDER OF SAINT LAZARUS OF HIS GRACE ARCHBISHOP IAN ERNEST, ECLJ, ARCHBISHOP AND PRIMATE EMERITUS OF THE ANGLICAN PROVINCE OF THE INDIAN OCEAN

Dear Brothers and Sisters of the Order of St Lazarus of Jerusalem,

Let us pray with Psalm 118 v. 1-2,14-24.

"Praise the Lord for he is good... The Lord is my strength and my song, he has been my saviour... the right hand of the Lord has done mighty deeds."(v1,14,15b)

We are immensely grateful to God the Father for this incredible day when the world leaps for joy as we return to life in His Son, Jesus Christ, the Risen Lord. Through Him, we are raised from the scandal of death into eternity where the beauty, mercy and goodness of God prevail.

This psalm extols God's assistance as He delivers those who have absolute confidence in His promises. How can we doubt His promise that the sting of death will be destroyed and that His Spirit will sustain us with deep joy? We cannot as the Risen Son of God opens the door to the beauty of God who comes to dwell in us.

So let us raise our Hallelujahs on this wonderful day to our loving and merciful God who conquers the darkness of our dehumanised world as He leads us into His Kingdom where Hope, Joy and Love float in the air.
