Jean de Paris fu Gran Maestro dell’Ordine di San Lazzaro (1330-1349).

In un documento, Jean de Paris è citato come Frater Johannes de Parisius, miles, humilis Magister generalis totius Ordinis Milicia Sancti Lazari Jherosolimitani, citra mare & ultra.

La nomina di Jean de Paris nel 1330, in seguito alla morte del Maestro Adam de Veau, portò a un impegno attivo per riconquistare i privilegi precedentemente detenuti e ristabilire l'ordine all'interno dell'organizzazione.

Nel 1332, delegò Jean de Corbet a ripristinare la disciplina nelle varie case dell'Ordine e inoltre a raccogliere collette nei diversi distretti di Francia e Germania.

Sulla sua lapide si legge: "Qui giace Fra Giovanni di Paris, Cavaliere, già Maestro dell'Ordine di San Lazzaro di Gerusalemme, deceduto il 20 gennaio dell'anno di grazia 1349.

Jean de Paris was Grand Master of the Order of Saint Lazarus (1330-1349).

In a deed document, Jean de Paris is refered to as Frater Johannes de Parisius, miles, humilis Magister generalis totius Ordinis Milicia Sancti Lazari Jherosolimitani, citra mare & ultra. The appointment of Jean de Paris in 1330 following the death of the Master Adam de Veau led to an active effort to regain previously held privileges and re-establish order within the organization. In 1332, he delegated Jean de Corbet to restore discipline in the various houses of the Order and furthermore to take up collections in the different districts in France and Germany.

His tombstone reads: “Here lies Brother John of Paris, Knight, former Master of the Order of Saint Lazarus of Jerusalem, deceased the 20th of January in the year of grace 1349.
