IL CONSIGLIO DI GOVERNO DEL GRAN BALIATO APPROVA LA PROPOSTA DI MEMORANDUM DI INTESA CON LA PONTIFICIA FACOLTÀ TEOLOGICA DI SICILIA “SAN GIOVANNI EVANGELISTA”

Il Consiglio di Governo del Gran Baliato di Sicilia ha approvato il memorandum di intesa proposto dal Preside della Facoltà Teologica di Sicilia “San Giovanni Evangelista”.

L’accordo prevede il sostegno economico da parte dell’Ordine per la creazione di due corsi istituzionali di Ecumenismo e Teologia Orientale, con un rafforzamento strutturale dei rapporti fra l’Accademia Lazzarita San Luigi IX Re di Francia e la Facoltà Teologica di Sicilia.

La Facoltà Teologica ha pure già individuato i docenti ai quali saranno affidati i corsi e che saranno pure candidati alla nomina ad accademici ordinari dell’Accademia San Luigi IX: si tratta dei professori don Antonio Amenta, esperto in ecumenismo, e don Antonio Pileri, esperto di teologia orientale e già al servizio del Dicastero Pontificio delle Chiese Orientali.

THE GOVERNING COUNCIL OF THE GRAND BAILIWICK APPROVES THE PROPOSED MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING WITH THE PONTIFICAL THEOLOGICAL FACULTY OF SICILY "ST. JOHN THE EVANGELIST"

The Governing Council of the Grand Bailiwick of Sicily has approved the memorandum of understanding proposed by the Dean of the "St. John the Evangelist" Theological Faculty of Sicily.

The agreement provides financial support from the Order for the creation of two institutional courses in Ecumenism and Oriental Theology, with a structural strengthening of the relationship between the Lazzarita Academy of St. Louis IX, King of France, and the Theological Faculty of Sicily.

The Theological Faculty has also already identified the professors who will be entrusted with the courses and who will also be candidates for appointment as full academicians of the Accademia San Luigi IX: these are Professors Don Antonio Amenta, an expert in ecumenism, and Don Antonio Pileri, an expert in Eastern theology and formerly in the service of the Pontifical Dicastery for the Oriental Churches.
