L’ORDINE DI SAN LAZZARO HA CELEBRATO LA DOMENICA DELLE PALME NELLA CHIESA CAPITOLARE

I membri del Gran Baliato di Sicilia hanno celebrato la Domenica delle Palme, come tradizione, presso la Chiesa Capitolare del Sacro Cuore di Monreale, con la celebrazione eucaristica presieduta da don Davide Colantoni, MMLJ.

Il celebrante ha sottolineato il profondo significato di una liturgia che inizia con l’osanna dell’ingresso a Gerusalemme per poi culminare nella lettura della Passione redentrice di Cristo, invitando tutti i presenti ad assumere, ad imitazione dei Gesù, la responsabilità della “Parola” nel quotidiano impegno verso i fratelli, secondo il carisma proprio dei lazzariti.

THE ORDER OF SAINT LAZARUS CELEBRATED PALM SUNDAY IN THE CHAPTER CHURCH

The members of the Grand Bailiwick of Sicily celebrated Palm Sunday, as is traditional, at the Chapter Church of the Sacred Heart in Monreale, with the Eucharistic celebration presided over by Fr Davide Colantoni, MMLJ.

The celebrant emphasised the profound significance of a liturgy that begins with the ‘Hosanna’ of the entry into Jerusalem and culminates in the reading of Christ’s redemptive Passion, inviting all those present to take on, in imitation of Jesus, the responsibility of the ‘Word’ in their daily commitment to their brothers and sisters, in accordance with the charism of the Lazarites.
